Dental Bridges in Bangalore

Restore missing teeth naturally with fixed dental bridges at PRALASH Dermystique & Dentique, HRBR Layout. Durable, natural-looking and permanently cemented — no removal required.

What Is a Dental Bridge?

A dental bridge is a fixed prosthesis used to replace one or more missing teeth by anchoring to the adjacent teeth (called abutments) on either side of the gap. The artificial tooth (or teeth) that fills the gap is called a pontic — typically made of porcelain, zirconia or a combination of materials to match natural teeth.

Unlike dentures, bridges are permanently cemented and cannot be removed. They restore chewing function, prevent neighbouring teeth from shifting and maintain the natural shape of your face. At PRALASH, bridges are designed with precision digital planning and crafted from premium materials for a seamless, long-lasting result.

How a Dental Bridge Is Placed

01
Consultation & Evaluation

We examine the gap, the health of adjacent teeth and jawbone. X-rays confirm bone support and guide the bridge design and material selection.

02
Tooth Preparation

Abutment teeth on either side of the gap are reduced to create space for the bridge crowns that will be cemented over them.

03
Impression & Design

Impressions or digital scans are taken and shade is selected. A temporary bridge is placed to protect prepared teeth while the permanent one is fabricated in the lab.

04
Temporary Bridge Placement

You wear a temporary bridge for 5–10 days while the permanent one is crafted. This protects sensitivity and maintains aesthetics during fabrication.

05
Final Bridge Fixation

The permanent bridge is tried in, checked for fit, bite and aesthetics, and permanently cemented. Your new tooth is fixed, functional and natural-looking.

Types of Dental Bridges

Traditional Bridge

The most common type — crowns on both adjacent teeth with a pontic in between. Suitable for gaps with healthy supporting teeth on both sides.

Cantilever Bridge

Supported by a crown on only one side — used when a supporting tooth exists on only one side of the gap. Less common due to higher stress on the abutment.

Maryland Bridge

A conservative option — the pontic is held by metal or resin wings bonded to the back of adjacent teeth. Minimal tooth preparation required.

Implant-Supported Bridge

Anchored on dental implants instead of natural teeth. Ideal for replacing multiple consecutive missing teeth without involving healthy neighbouring teeth.

Frequently Asked Questions

With proper care and regular check-ups, a dental bridge typically lasts 10–15 years. Zirconia and metal-ceramic bridges are among the most durable options available.

No. Abutment tooth preparation is done under local anaesthesia. You may experience mild sensitivity for a few days after the procedure, which subsides once the permanent bridge is cemented.

Yes. Once cemented, a bridge restores full chewing function. It is advisable to avoid very hard or sticky foods to protect the bridge long-term.

Use a floss threader, interdental brush or water flosser to clean under the pontic. Regular brushing around the bridge is also essential. We'll demonstrate proper cleaning technique at your fitting appointment.

The abutment teeth are permanently prepared (reduced) to receive crowns. This is an irreversible process, which is why implants (which don't involve adjacent teeth) may be preferred when viable.

Implants preserve adjacent teeth and last longer — they are generally preferred when bone allows. However, bridges are faster, don't require surgery, and are more affordable. Our dentist will help you choose based on your case.

Traditional bridges start from ₹8,000 per unit. Ceramic/zirconia bridges range from ₹15,000–₹40,000 per unit. A 3-unit bridge typically involves 3 crowns. Call +91 99005 17699 for a full quote after examination.

Traditionally, a bridge can replace 1–3 consecutive missing teeth. For larger gaps (4+ teeth), implant-supported bridges or full-arch solutions are recommended for long-term stability.
